Geomembrane weld quality requirements

After the geomembrane is welded, the quality of the following parts should be inspected: all welds; weld joints; damaged parts; repair welding positions for missed welding and virtual welding; in addition, repair welding should be carried out if the previous inspection failed. The methods and equipment used in the on-site inspection should meet the following requirements: double welds are inspected by the air inflation method, and the pressure test equipment is used to determine whether the pressure requirements are met; the single weld is inspected by the vacuum tank method, and vacuum inspection can be used. The electric spark method can also be selected according to the actual situation.

For other welds, such as a single weld “T” node, the area of a 2500 square centimeter square should be gradually covered and inspected by vacuum inspection. If the vacuum pressure is greater than 0.005 MPa, hold for 30 seconds, and the inspection finds that there is no bubble, it is considered fulfil requirements. There is also a test detection method for single welds, namely spark test detection. When no sparks between the metal brushes are found, it is judged as qualified.

Indoor test: During this test, the tensile strength of the weld should be higher than the strength of the base metal. The on-site inspection regulations are as follows: After all the inspections are completed, all inflatable pressure perforations are then repaired by extrusion welding.

Mark the non-conformity of the quality inspection and repair it. The joints with false or missing welds need to be repaired in time, and then tested according to the corresponding methods.

The quality inspection should be carried out along with the progress of the construction, and the next process shall not be carried out if the inspection fails.
